Education Grants for Microsoft Certification Programs

December 19 2003--Steven Hatch, President and CEO of PC Training Institute, Inc. announced today that a new grant program is available for the 2004 enrollment year. The grants are available to all applicants who undertake and successfully complete a premier Microsoft Certification Training Program at CompTEC Computer Career Center in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Mr. Hatch noted that improving economic conditions and announcements of major business development agreements, such as The Scripps Research Institute proposed Palm Beach County project, are projected to result in increased demand for newly certified information technology professionals throughout the South Florida area. He noted that Florida Sun Sentinel, business writer, Joan Fleischer Tamen’s December 16, 2003 article Jobs expectations brighten in S. Florida as employers plan hiring also recognized increased growth in South Florida opportunities. “The upbeat outlook is especially strong in West Palm Beach where 40 percent of employers plan to hire new workers between January to March and only 7 percent see likely layoffs. Six months ago, less than 20 percent saw increased hiring and 10 percent saw layoffs.” “Even the badly battered technology and telecommunications industries see improving business conditions and are planning for new hires," said Deborah Vazquez, founder of ProTech, a Miami-based information technology placement firm. "A recovery is under way," said Vazquez. "We're seeing a lot more hiring -- from computer support to systems engineers."

The grants available range from $1000.00 to $3000.00.
MCSE: Security $1000.00
MCSE/MCDBA Dual Certification $1000.00 grant
MCSE/MCDBA/ MCSD.NET Triple Certification $3000.00
MCSD.NET/MCDBA $1000.00

$50,000 in grant money is currently available for enrollment year 2004. Mr. Hatch also noted that PC Training Institute, Inc. awarded $30,000.00 in grant money during the 2003 enrollment year.
